Next Audition

Auditions to join the Fall, 2012, session, beginning in September will be held in late August/early September at Mason Christian Village Centre, 411 Western Row Road in Mason, OH.  Please contact the directors to schedule an audition date and time. An audition form can also be mailed or e-mailed.

Junior Orchestra audition requirements:  One octave scales:  C, G, D, A, F; one prepared solo, Suzuki book 1-2 or equivalent; sightreading.

Cadet Orchestra audition requirements:  One octave scales:  C, D, F, Two octave scales:  G, A; one prepared solo, Suzuki Book 3 or equivalent; one semester previous orchestra experience; sightreading.

Senior Orchestra audition requirements:  Two octave scales:  C, G, D, A, E, F, Bb; one prepared solo, Suzuki Book 4 or equivalent; two semesters previous orchestra experience; sightreading.

Next Performances

Friday, April 27:  NCYO performs at Music in the Parks competition at Loveland High School.  Senior:  5:40 p.m.; Junior:  6:30 p.m.; Cadet:  7:20 p.m.  Free.

Tuesday, May 8:  NCYO performs at 7:00 p.m. at the Mason United Methodist Church.  Refreshments following.  Admission is free.

Friday, June 15:  NCYO performs pre-concert music at the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra Concert, 6:00-6:30 p.m. Pops concert at 7 p.m.  Otterbein Retirement Home, Lebanon.  Free!

Saturday, June 30:  NCYO performs during intermission for the West Chester Symphony's Red, White, and Blue and the Orchestra too!  concert at Keehner Park, 7-9 p.m. Free.

Saturday, August 18:  Mason Heritage Day Parade, 10:00.

Sunday, September 16:  Mason Arts Festival at the Mason Municipal Center, 11-5.  Free.

Summer Camps

June 18-22:  Suzuki Camp at North Cincinnati Community Church

July 16-20:  Youth Orchestra Camp at North Cincinnati Community Church
